Hi! I'm Pilar

I am a materials designer and illustrator with a background in Fashion Design from the Polytechnic University of Madrid, complemented by courses at NABA (Milan) and Central Saint Martins (London). I have worked as a fashion designer and product developer across Italy, Spain, and the Netherlands, collaborating with renowned international brands. My curiosity drives me to explore the world, discovering inspiring objects and traditions.

In recent years, I’ve focused on the social and environmental impacts of the fashion industry, striving to change the way we produce. I chose a path that reflects my ethical principles, emphasizing materials and artisanal processes for responsible production. This led me to create my luxury knitwear brand, "Studio Artero," in 2016, where I produce limited editions in 100% natural fibers that honor artisans' work and preserve traditional craftsmanship.

The pandemic forced me to pause production, and now Studio Artero is in a period of deep reflection. This time has reignited my passion for drawing, with colors and textures dancing in my mind and heart. During this period, I felt the need to express myself through my illustrations, telling stories with every drawing. I believe we form emotional connections with the ordinary objects in our lives.
